Bail Set At $1M Cash In Fatal Tinton Falls Stabbing [VIDEO]

Bail has been set at $1 million cash for a Neptune man charged with murder in the stabbing death of another man found fatally wounded in a motel parking lot.

But authorities say a motive for the early Saturday morning stabbing remains unclear.

Monmouth County prosecutors say 19-year-old Darren Harbison also faces weapons charges in the death of 19-year-old Malcom Carter of Neptune

Tinton Falls police found Carter around 1:15 a.m. after responding a 911 call about a wounded man. He had suffered “knife wounds” and died a short time later, but further details have not been disclosed.

Harbison was charged several hours after Carter died. He remained jailed Sunday, and it was not known if he has retained an attorney
