Two Atlantic County men arrested last May in connection with a shooting death on an Atlantic City street face the prospect of trial, charged with multiple murder counts.

Michael Rivera, 22, of Pleasantville, and Casey Robinson, 20, of Atlantic City, were indicted by a grand jury in Mays Landing Wednesday for the death of Joshua Hopewell, whose bullet-riddled body was found near Rhode Island Avenue just before dawn broke on May 10.

Hopewell died a short time after being rushed to Atlanticare Regional Trauma Center. Rivera and Robinson were arrested before midnight the same day.

They're charged with first-degree murder, felony murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and armed robbery; second-degree conspiracy to commit armed robbery; and weapons offenses.

At the time of their first appearance, Superior Court Judge Max Baker set their bail at $1,000,000 cash.
