Monmouth County, NJ Prosecutor charges man in connection to Asbury Park, NJ shooting
An investigation into a non-fatal shooting that occurred on March 20 in Asbury Park has led to the arrest of Kenneth R. Bronson along with charges against him.
Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey announced Wednesday that the 18-year old is being charged with first-degree Attempted Murder and two related second-degree weapons offenses.
Asbury Park Police were first on the call along the 100 block of Langford Street that evening, around 6:00 pm, where they found a man who was injured in the shooting.
The victim was then brought to Jersey Shore Regional Medical Center for emergency treatment, according to Acting Prosecutor Linskey.
Following the shooting, the MCPO Major Crimes Bureau and Asbury Park Police identified Bronson being as a suspect through their investigation.
Bronson was arrested without incident on Tuesday of this week at an undisclosed location in Brick Township by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service.

He will remain in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, pending a first appearance and detention hearing, which Acting Prosecutor Linskey said will take place in Monmouth County Superior Court.

This case is being prosecuted by Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Matthew Bogner.
If Bronson is convicted of attempted murder, he would face up to 20-years in state prison.
