Alix Antoine, 36, is charged with second-degree counts of official misconduct, conspiracy to commit official misconduct, and insurance fraud, and a third-degree count of tampering with public records. He is still incarcerated in the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in Freehold on bail of $150,000, according to information from the office of acting County Prosecutor Chris Grammiccioni.

Antoine was also ordered to surrender his firearms and passport. His sister, Patricia Louis, also known as Patricia Antoine, 43, of Clifton, is charged with conspiracy to committ official misconduct and insurance fraud. She was released on her own recognizance to await court proceedings.

The second degree charges carry possible sentences of up to 10 years on conviction. If the 12-year veteran of the force is found guilty of official misconduct, he would be required to serve five years before parole eligibility, authorities said.
