It breaks my heart to see more and more businesses and restaurants close this year in Ocean County.

Dom's Drive In's last day was yesterday, Columbus Day 2020, after 32 years of business on Long Beach Boulevard in Beach Haven, according to the patch.com. There have been so many memories made at Dom's Drive In, and I am especially a fan of their ice cream.

Here is a message from Dom's Drive In Facebook page from the owner from yesterday's last day:

-Heading to LBI this morning in the pouring rain thinking about starting the process of cleaning out the store. I figured business would be slow because of the weather, well that was not the case. So many people came out on this rainy windy day to wish us well. Going to miss you all thanks for stopping in. We are grateful for being a part of LBI for so many years. Thanks everyone for coming out today, we enjoyed listening to generations of memories. Thanks also to the families of Danny, Tommy and Kiddo for allowing them to be part of our Doms memories -

The memories are what a lot of Facebook customers of Dom's have said about the drive in for the past 32 years. But they're also known for their hotdogs and cheese steaks, spicy fries, and more.

For the last couple of weeks, customers wanted their Dom's Drive In t-shirt and they were all sold out. A shirt definitely would have been a good keepsake. For all the times I've been there, you would think I would've gotten a t-shirt. Darn it.

Personally, I just want to thank you so much to everyone at Dom's. I've been bringing my daughter for the last 12 years to Dom's and I always enjoyed it. I will always remember the smiles on everyone's faces, especially my Abby's. "Thank you."
