High Point Volunteer Fire Company is run strictly on donations and fundraisers. Because of all the fundraisers cancelled in 2020 due to Covid-19, they are needing help from the community. 2021 is so uncertain because of Covid-19, also.

From their gofundme page:

High Point Volunteer Fire Company Station 51 is located on Long Beach Island. Organized in 1937 and still remain 100% volunteer, own all our apparatus, building and property. We are funded only through donations from fund raisers and a partial subsidy from the towns which we supply coverage for. Covid-19 forced them to cancel all of their fund raisers for the 2020 year, which included our Striper Shootout fishing tournament in June and their Dog Day 5 mile road race in August. Every expense for the year had to come from their savings. Their savings are running out. Now they're about to embark on 2021 and unsure if they can hold any fundraisers.

There are new federal mandates and they must upgrade their entire radio and communications network to conform with all emergency state and local services. The cost responsible solely by individual companies. This is an almost unreachable   amount due to the pandemic restrictions and our savings are dwindling rapidly.  Any amount donated would help immensely. High Point Volunteer Fire Company Station 51 takes pride in serving their community and look forward to continuing in the future.

They need our help right now. CLICK HERE to donate. Their goal is for $60,000 and they're only at $2,400 on their gofundme page.
