Amazing! The World’s Largest Lightbulb is Located Right Here in New Jersey

I have lived in New Jersey my whole life and I did not know that the world's largest lightbulb is located here. To be honest, I really didn't think about the world's largest lightbulb, but once it came to my attention I had to know more. I think anytime we hear about things labeled "world's largest" we have a curiosity to see what it is, even lightbulbs. So let's shed some light on the subject lol yes I did just type that.

Thomas Alva Edison, one of America's great inventors/scientists is world-renowned for many of his inventions including (History) the automatic telegraph, the carbon telephone transmitter, the light bulb, the phonograph, the movie camera and viewer, and the alkaline storage battery.

So it's no surprise that there is a landmark devoted to honoring the invention of the light bulb and that it's right in Edison New Jersey where he worked.

According to a Time article "Top 50 American Roadside Attractions" one is the world's largest lightbulb here in Edison, New Jersey. "the 134-foot tower in Edison, New Jersey housing the world's largest light bulb. The Thomas Alva Edison Memorial Tower stands on the site of Edison's Menlo Park laboratory where he perfected the first commercially practical incandescent light bulb. The 13-foot tall bulb at the top of the tower is meant to represent Edison's most famous invention"
