Despite some conflicting reports, we're pleased to pass along the word that all of the ocean beaches in Ocean County are open and free from unsafe bacterial levels.

Earlier this week, the Department of Environmental Protection had closed over a dozen beaches, mostly in Atlantic County, but with a trio of Ocean County beaches as well.

There were also three additional Ocean County beaches on the advisory list.

But today, our Townsquare News Network is reporting that the DEP has reopened all Ocean County beaches and lifted all advisories.

There had been some reports and word of mouth suggesting that beaches in Seaside Park were closed, but those reports are incorrect.

Both Seaside Park township officials and the official word from the DEP can put any concerns to rest.

Of course if any of this changes, we'll update as needed.
