No. 6 Jackson Memorial 5, Toms River South 4 (12 Innings)

Junior Matt Koblos broke a 3-3 deadlock with a go-ahead, two-out, RBI single through the middle in the top of the 12th inning and the Jaguars won a marathon game over the Indians.

Senior Chris Cartnick started the winning rally with a leadoff single and after a one-out walk by senior Zach Crotchfelt and a pop-up, Koblos jumped on the first pitch he saw and grounded it through the middle to chase home Cartnick.

Senior Tommy Kendrick followed with an RBI double to tack on what proved to be the winning run.

Kolbos also hit sacrifice flies in both the second and fourth innings as part of his three-RBI game.

Toms River South rallied to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh, sparked by a leadoff pinch-hit double by senior Brandon Elmendorf. Shortstop Chris Clark re-entered to run and moved to third on an infield single by junior Mikey Erli with one out.

Senior Aidan Folsom, who pitched five one-hit, shutout innings of relief to keep the Indians in it, then hit a grounder to shortstop that took an unexpected hop on Jackson Memorial junior Charlie Meglio. The bobble by Meglio eliminated the double-play and allowed Clark to score the tying run, but Meglio gathered himself in time to throw out Folsom.

Folsom and losing pitcher Jake Wilber combined on back-to-back RBI singles in the bottom of the fifth inning to cut Jackson Memorial's lead to 3-2.

Erli and Folsom got the bottom of the 12th off to a promising start for Toms River South with a hit-by-pitch and single, respectively, and an RBI ground out by senior Gavin Migliori scored Erli and pushed Folsom into scoring position as the tying run with two out.

Jackson Memorial senior right-hander Trevin Rieger completed his long relief outing with a strikeout to end the game.

Sophomore Gavin Sansone struck out 14 over six innings and the Seraphs (3-4, 3-3) rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh to pull out a win over the Titans (2-4, 2-4).

Senior Kole Devaney went 3-for-4 with an RBI and classmate Anthony Tancredi was 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead Mater Dei's lineup. Junior Sean Hanna struck out the side in a scoreless top of the seventh to earn the win for Mater Dei.

Junior Donny Antenucci allowed two runs on four hits and struck out 11 over his six innings of work for Keansburg.

Sophomore Cole Stefanelli singled home brother E.J. Stefanelli with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Blue Devils (5-5) pulled out a walk-off win over the Garnet Gulls (7-3) in a battle of NJSIAA Central Jersey Group I contenders from the Shore.

E.J. Stefanelli singled to right field with one out in the seventh and stole second base to put the winning run in scoring position. Cole Stefanelli then ripped a 1-2 pitch into leftfield, chasing E.J. home with the winning run.

Senior Rich Barton allowed one run on one hit with seven strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings and junior Jeff Barham earned the win by recording the final two outs of the top of the seventh.
