In a week where many of us can use a feel good story, something that happened in Brick yesterday was exactly the story that we need right now as a local teen was granted a wish to fulfill her Hollywood dreams.

On Thursday, a critically ill Howell 14-year-old, Claudia, arrived at the Jersey Mike's in Brick Plaza right around 3:30pm.

But Claudia and her family weren't there for a late lunch, instead Claudia was met by a cheering crowd of friends and family, as the Make-A-Wish Foundation surprised her and announced that she will be hopping on a plane to Hollywood to attend one of her favorite teen awards shows.

The Jersey Mike's crew then challenged Claudia to a sub making contest, which she of course won:

The whole event kicks off Jersey Mike's 2018 Month of Giving campaign. Throughout the whole month of March, dozens of Jersey Mike's locations will be accepting donations to the New Jersey Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Then on March 28th, for Jersey Mike's Day Of Giving, 60 locations throughout the Garden State will donate 100% of the day's sales to Make-A-Wish New Jersey.

It's a great way to put a smile on the face of a sick New Jersey child and truly make wishes come true!
