As 2019 hurtles toward Memorial Day Weekend, we've got an early summer-like weather weekend on the way, which should be perfect for the 16th Annual Ocean Fun Days, that we told you about earlier this week.

Every year, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Parks and Forestry, the Sea Grant Consortium, the National Park Service, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration all come together with New Jersey Natural Gas and the Asbury Park Press to present Ocean Fun Days, a free weekend of fun and educational programs to celebrate the Garden State's coastline.

Whether you're local to Ocean County or closer to Monmouth County, you can take part in your area.

On Saturday, May 18th, the festivities come to Island Beach State Park, at Swimming Area 1.

On Sunday, May 19th, the fun comes to Sandy Hook Gateway National Recreation Area, and will also include guided tours of the historic areas and scientific facilities.

On both days, Ocean Fun Days goes from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m and is free and open to all.
