So it went on October 9 for Darren Yurick of Toms River, according to information from the office of County Sheriff Mike Mastronardy.

Mastronardy reportedly noticed Yurick "actively using/huffing" a spray near the Court House in downtown Toms River at about 9:44 AM, and quickly took him in.

The Sheriff said he confiscated the canister, and that Yurick was "slurring his speech and appeared to be stumbling."

Upon charging him with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to use, Mastronardy and Sheriff's Officer Matthew Horton said they found two probation warrants lodged for Yurick, for bail violations.

He was placed in the Ocean County Jail, conveniently next door to the Court House.
