The DOT has begun a bridge replacement project on Route 34 in Wall.

An Ocean Township woman remains missing nearly two weeks after her home burned down in a fire but her housemate who took off in her jeep and was later arrested, will remain in jail until his trial on weapons charges among other offenses.

A scary car fire on Monday afternoon resulted in no injuries as police and fire crews in Barnegat doused the flames and kept the damage to a minimum.

Plumsted Police have hired two new officers and promoted three others as they continue to protect township residents.
