On the second day of investigations into the Las Vegas massacre, there is little in Stephen Paddock's background, so far, to portend the worst killing spree in US history. Authorities say he was a retired accountant, without so much as a parking ticket - and had 10 suitcases full of guns in his hotel room, his vantage point for killing 59 victims and injuring 530.

The carnage revives dialogue about tougher gun laws. On Townsquare's "Ask The Governor" Monday night, Governor Chris Christie expressed doubts that the tragedy would have been averted. He admitted that he'll worry the next time his kids go to a concert.
