Point Pleasant Beach is putting up physical barriers to block access to the boardwalk and inlet parking lot to prevent people from congregating because the area to too narrow for proper social distancing.

A consent order being carried out in New Jersey to let hundreds of low level offenders, who meet certain criteria, be temporarily released from incarceration to prevent the spread of coronavirus presents some concerns. Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden says there are certain inmates who should not be released under this order.

There are a number of restrictions in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus as well as reminders to practice good hygiene habits and social distancing.
