In response to the coronavirus outbreak, Sen. Cory Booker and a group of his colleagues want the federal government to send an immediate $2,000 check to every american – followed by $1,500 next quarter and $1,000 for every quarter after that until the paralyzed economy recovers.

On Monday Governor Phil Murphy extended public gathering restrictions to not allow more than 50 people in one place at one time. On Tuesday, two groups of people ignored that directive by having a much greater amount than 50 people between two weddings in Lakewood.
