Republican Jenny Heinz is challenging Ocean County Freeholder Director Joe Vicari.
Investigators in Orlando, FL, dismiss any terrorism influence in this morning's deadly shooting in an industrial park. The gunman, John Robert Neumann, Jr., 45, is described as an Army veteran formerly employed at the awning company where he shot five people to death, then turned the gun on himself. The incident occurred nearly a year after the deadly nightclub shootings in the same city.
The man suspected of firing the bullet that hit a 15-year-old girl in Asbury Park late last week faces a first-degree attempted murder charge. Josiphiah Fowlkes, 22, was arrested during the weekend. The teen was briefly hospitalized.
