The heat wave is over but the storm that broke it has left behind a lot of damage and thousands across the Jersey Shore are still in the dark this morning.

Monmouth Park's decision to race the Haskell in 100-degree heat continues to draw criticism, even though no horses were injured in that race or others run on Saturday.

Following Saturday's discovery of several swastikas at a park in Long Branch, police patrols have been boosted.
