A Little Egg Harbor woman's injuries are described as serious, after she was hit by a car in Galloway Monday night. Police said that Christine Appiah was run down while crossing Route 9 at about 9 PM. No charges have yet been filed against the driver from Bayonne.

Investigations continue into this morning's crash of a KC-130 in Mississippi, killing 16 service members aboard. The air refueler belonged to the Marine Reserves and was based at Stewart Air National Guard base in New York. It was ferrying personnel, equipment, weapons and ammo to California.

Dredging of the Manasquan Channels resumes, and continues through the end of the year. The $3,400,000 project through the New Jersey Department of Transportation returns navigable waters to prescribed depths and widths. Five channels, creeks and thorofares are to be completed by December 31. The first half of the project was completed in 2016.

FEMA would face time restrictions in trying to reclaim disaster aid from victims, under a measure introduced in Congress by Representative Tom MacArthur (R-3). The agency would have a three-year window under the Disaster Fairness and Accountability Act.

Former high school baseball coach Bart McInerney, pleads guilty to child endangerment for texting inappropriate messages to his players, and avoids any more prison beyond time served. Retrial for the onetime St. Rose High School coach was scheduled to begin in two weeks. McInerney also is not required to register as a sex offender.

An ex-Atlantic County corrections officer is sentenced to five years of probation for having sexual contact with an inmate in 2015. Castulo Matos is also barred from public employment.
