Towns near Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst will hear loud booms and feel the ground shaking again for eight straight days, beginning Friday.

Units from the New York Army National Guard will be conducting artillery and explosives training from 7 a.m. to Midnight, Friday to Sunday, according to base officials.

Officials said the base's 87th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit is scheduled to detonate explosives during training from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through next Friday.
