TRENTON — Two dozen people are without homes following two fires in the state.

A fire at a thee-story rooming house on Morris Street in Dover on Friday night displaced 13 people, according to the American Red Cross, which helped provide temporary shelter.

Morris County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Paul Merkler said his office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire and said there was one reported injury.

ABC7 Eyewitness News reported one woman was burned on her arms.

The Red Cross also said it assisted 11 people from five families in a fire at a home on Second Street in Millville.

The Red Cross said it has assisted in 11 fires in the state with this week.
