2022 Shore Conference Football Schedule
The Shore Conference has released the 2022 high school football schedule. Dates and times will be finalized at a later date.
The new-look American Division, which gained Red Bank Catholic, Manalapan, and Middletown South with the departure of Toms River North and Colts Neck, includes the five teams which finished ranked one through five in the final Shore Sports Network Top 10. Games involving RBC, Rumson-Fair Haven, Donovan Catholic, Middletown South, Manalapan, and Wall will headline the schedule on a weekly basis. The Rumson-RBC game will again be the final week of the regular season (Oct. 21).
Ocean County rivals Central, Southern, and Lacey will now play division games against one another in the Colonial Division, while a young and talented Toms River North team will look to take the next step after reaching the South Jersey Group 5 championship game last season.
The Freedom Division has two trios of longtime division rivals - Brick Memorial, Brick, and Toms River South from the former Class A South, and Ocean, Red Bank, and Neptune from the former Class B North.
Manasquan and Point Boro are now division rivals in the Independence Division. The former Thanksgiving rivals will square off in Week 2.
Also of note, Mater Dei Prep, which did not field a varsity team in 2021 and was not included in the initial Shore Conference realignment for 2022, has three games scheduled: Keyport, Point Beach, and Keansburg.
Standout inter-divisional games include Toms River North vs. Rumson-Fair Haven, Long Branch vs. Middletown South, Jackson Memorial vs. Brick Memorial in Week 1.
Notable non-conference games feature Donovan Catholic hosting St. Joseph (Montvale) and Red Ban Catholic hosting Seton Hall Prep on Sept. 30.
The four Thanksgiving Day games between Middletown North vs. Middletown South, Manasquan vs. Wall, Long Branch vs. Red Bank, and Asbury Park vs. Neptune will all return for 2022.
