2 men charged with strict liability after 9 month investigation
Ship Bottom Police responded to a residence in April 2018 for a 40 year old overdose victim. A joint investigation followed, culminating in the arrest of two Atlantic County men.
Ptl. Biester of the Ship Bottom Police Department led the 9 month joint investigation with Ocean County Prosecutor's Office detectives.
Levi Brown, 32 of Egg Harbor Township and Ronald Parrish, 62 of Pleasantville were found to be the source of the Heroin that had been ruled as the direct cause of death of the overdose victim by the Ocean County Medical Examiner.
Brown and Parrish are both lodged in the Ocean County Jail and are charged with: strict liability for a drug-induced death, manufacturing an distribution of heroin and possession of heroin.
Brown was previously charged under strict liability in 2009.
