2 Mega Millions Tickets Each Worth $1 Million Sold at NJ Supermarkets
If you recently bought a Mega Millions lottery ticket at a supermarket in New Jersey, you might want to double-check your numbers.
That's because officials with the New Jersey Lottery said there were two second-tier prizewinning tickets sold for Friday night's drawing that matched five of the five white balls drawn, each winning one million bucks.
Just imagine running into the store for a gallon of milk and a lottery ticket and you win $1 million...
Winning numbers
The winning numbers were 29, 40, 47, 50, and 57. The Gold Mega Ball was 25 and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.
Lucky locations
Those winning $1 million tickets were purchased at the following locations:
- Monmouth County: ShopRite at Routes 36 & 71 in West Long Branch
- Ocean County: Wegmans on Route 35 in Ocean
Other winners
There were three third-tier prizewinning tickets sold for Friday night's drawing; those people each won $10,000 to $20,000. Here's where those tickets were sold:
- Bergen County ($20,000): Foster Stationery on S. Washington Ave. in Bergenfield
- Hudson County ($10,000): 7-Eleven on Schulyer Ave. in Kearny
- Monmouth County ($10,000): KDM Mart on Route 9 South in Howell

With no big winner, the Mega Millions jackpot sits at $820 million for the next drawing on Tuesday night.
