Harvey Weinstein “Vacationing” at the Jersey Shore; Due In Court Next Week
Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein was seen at a popular Monmouth County hotel eating by himself over the weekend, according to TMZ.
Weinstein, who is currently embroiled in multiple court cases, is ringing in the New Year, enjoying a tasty treat at the famous Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank on Saturday. While he was chowing down, pictures show that Weinstein was looking through an abundance of paperwork – which is thought to be about his upcoming court cases.
A source told TMZ that Weinstein is vacationing at the Jersey Shore for “relaxation and rest.”
Onlookers reported that Weinstein rose to his feet with the help of a walker and left the table. Weinstein had back surgery last month, which remanded him to walker while he recovers.
Weinstein’s actions caught national attention and sparked the social movement #MeToo on social media. In October 2017, following multiple allegations of sexual misconduct over the last decade, he was expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and fired from his company.
The city of New York charged him with multiple counts, including rape, sexual abuse, and sexual misconduct.
He is required to wear an ankle monitor, and his trial date is set for January 6th, 2020, according to The Guardian.
