Editors Note: 13-year old Ariana Dalton from Galloway was safely returned home on April 2, Galloway Township Police tell WOBM News on Saturday.

Losing a child is the worst thing that could happen to a parent. Whether the child was abducted or wandered away on his or her own, not knowing the whereabouts of your child is excruciating. In fact, every 40 seconds a child goes missing in the United States and despite the efforts of law enforcement and the community, some are never found.

Since the beginning of the year, dozens of children have gone missing in New Jersey – and many of them have been found and reunited with their families. Unfortunately, six children haven’t found their way home yet leaving their families and local authorities baffled.
