According to Jane Kunka of SUEZ, the break occurred early this morning, and affects the area between Lakewood Road (Route 166, north of 37) and Old Freehold Road.

More specifically, SUEZ identified affected buildings and strip malls as 941, 950-954, 970 and 984 Lakewood Road, and 951 Old Freehold Road.

SUEZ officials speculated neither on the cause of the break, nor on the estimated time for repairs to be completed. No boil-water advisory was deemed necessary.

The result of the break meant more traffic at the busy intersection of Route 37 & 166 in Toms River.
