With the summer season in Ocean County very quickly approaching, the Downtown Toms River Business Improvement District shared plans for how their summer events schedule has changed in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Cruisin' Downtown

According to the Downtown Toms River BID:

Cruisin' Downtown will be transitioned into Downtown Cruisin' Food Drive.  Along with The Vintage Auto Club of Ocean County and Fulfill of Monmouth/Ocean County, we will hold a food drive utilizing the classic cars, the second Wed. of the month June-Sept, the same dates as Crusin' Downtown.  Food will be collected from the community and the classic cars will "parade" the food to The B.E.A.T Center in Toms River.

Summer in the Street

Originally scheduled for Saturday, July 18th, the Summer in the Street festival will become monthly Downtown Night Outs. Officials say that, "Once a month the community will be invited to come downtown to support their local businesses.  Promotions and specials will run in every business."

Harvest Arts Festival

As of this writing, the Harvest Arts Festival remains on the schedule for Saturday, October 17, 2020.

Downtown Tree Lighting

As of this writing, the Downtown Tree Lighting remains on the schedule for Friday, December 4, 2020.

Obviously, as we all adjust to new guidlines for safely holding events, there may be more changes to come. We'll do our best to keep you updated.
