Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest in Lacey

Lacey police pulled over a speeding motorist on Route 9 overnight Saturday and ended up arresting the driver on drug charges.

While speaking to the driver, 35-year-old Dametrious R. Summers of Atlantic City, the officer detected the smell of pot, according to The Patch. A consent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of packaged marijuana in the trunk. The vehicle was impounded.

Summers was charged with possession of more than 50 grams of Marijuana and possession with the intent to distribute Controlled Dangerous Substances.

Lacey police are investigating where the drugs were supposed to be delivered.
