Toms River Teachers Write A Halloween Book [AUDIO]

An autumn whirlwind came to Tommy and Suzie's town bringing with it a new friend, who would teach them the true spirit of caring, sharing, and the joy of the Halloween season! This story follows the adventures of the twins Tommy and Suzie in the days before Halloween.

About Kevin McCormick and Lillian Stulich: This story was inspired by the students of Toms River Intermediate East. More than an autumn whirlwind came to our region of New Jersey in October of 2012; it was Super Storm Sandy. While the storm may have cancelled the tradition of Trick or Treat in Toms River and the surrounding areas, this storm was no match for our Halloween spirit! Students in the area remembered that it is better to give than to receive. That is what the students did; they gave. They worked in storm shelters, raised money from fundraisers, and donated food, clothing, toys, and supplies.
