Bruce Figular, according to an indictment in Ocean County, claimed to be a New Jersey State Trooper to gain entry and commit aggravated sexual assault when classes were in session last January. The school is not identified in information gathered by Townsquare Media News.

Investigators believe Figular undertook the ruse after being accosted by a school worker. County Prosecutor spokesman Al Della Fave says that no children were present in the room where the attack allegedly took place.

Figular is charged with burglary and aggravated criminal sexual contact, both third degree offenses, along with impersonation of a law enforcement officer, a fourth-degree violation.   He's free on bail.
