There are reports of extremely long lines (and frustrated customers) at Target stores across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and much of the country this Saturday afternoon.

The popular retailer is reportedly experiencing technical issues with its checkout registers, leading to chaos in some stores.

It's happening in our area, but a report from NBC10 says customers across the nation are also affected. We've seen reports about #TargetDown from Chicago, Texas, Florida on Twitter.

The cause of the issues was not immediately clear, but the retail chain said they're looking into the issues (using their AskTarget Twitter account just after 2 pm on Saturday).

By the way, if you're in a Target store this afternoon, be patient. Don't get frustrated with the staff. It's likely that their employees are just doing the best that they can this afternoon.
