Skeptics of climate change and possible causes will get to debate expert testimony from researchers on the topic and the impact to the Jersey Shore during a free, two-day forum being held this Friday and Saturday in Toms River.
Officials in towns along New Jersey's coastline are being urged to prepare for a future of rising sea levels. Members of the Rutgers Earth and Planetary Sciences Department are telling county and municipal officials that we can expect a foot of sea level rise every 100 years and Geology Professor Ken Miller says it's expected to accelerate in the future.
