Sandy Fraud

There's been yet another case of sandy fraud at the Jersey Shore.

An Ocean County couple pleads guilty to stealing nearly $1,500,000.00 from more than 20 people who hired their home improvement companies to fix their Superstorm Sandy damaged houses.

An alleged felon, accused of fleecing 14 Superstorm victims who believed he'd repair their homes, heads for possible trial following his December 14 indictment in Ocean County. Investigators suspect that there are more who haven't spoken up.

A total of 64 homeowners have been charged with filing fraudulent claims since March 2014 in an attempt to acquire Superstorm Sandy relief funds.
