The state Senate is set to vote Monday on a plan to give additional state funds to sanctuary cities, to make up for any losses if federal funds are withheld.
With the population of immigrants living in the United States illegally estimated to top a half-million, it’s not surprising that several towns in the Garden State have so-called “sanctuary city” policies in place.
Officials in New Jersey "sanctuary cities," who don't go out of their way to help federal immigration authorities, would be forced to do so or face imprisonment and fines, under a measure being introduced to the state Legislature by shore Assemblyman Ron Dancer (R-12).
