I posted about a community fixture, OceanFirst Bank deciding to close one of it's Bayville, New Jersey locations...you can read about that here. Now, I just saw that OceanFirst Financial Corp. plans to close eight more branches in Monmouth and Ocean counties by early 2022 as a result of COVID pushing customers to online banking.

We get pretty attached to our banks don't we? They help us get into our new home, build our business, and save for the future. Nowadays, banking has become pretty slick with smartphones changing the game. We're just a few clicks away from controlling our cash from anywhere. I think about that sometimes, did we ever think that was possible years ago? When you think about it, it really is something we would have seen on the Jetson's.

Take-out and delivery are still permitted, but some eateries don't think it's worth the trouble.
