Birdwatching at the Jersey Shore.....Spring is here at the Jersey Shore and this weekend I stumbled across this woodpecker family doing some Spring cleaning of their home....a true tree house. I sat back and watched and photographed their work, I hope you enjoy a look at Jersey Shore nature at it's best....a break from the negatives we hear and see everyday.
It is our best fisherman, the Osprey ..... the hawk of the sea! You'll see them up and down the Jersey Shore coast. This is my favorite bird to photograph and I'm lucky to live in an area with many to view. Just this past Friday at our Community Medical Center Seaside Park Boardwalk Studio we watched an Osprey fishing in the surf and bringing home fresh fish to their babies.
As autumn prepares to descend on Ocean County and Halloween displays stretch across the land (which, in some cases have been up since the middle of the summer), my neighborhood has had something else stretched across it - spider webs. Real ones.
I'm curious if you're the type to just pick berries off a vine. I'd worry that it might be poisonous. Plus I'd never eat anything without washing it first. Am I being unnecessarily cautious? Are you someone who likes to sample when out and about?
I have to start this with a disclaimer - I am not a professional photographer and I did not have a professional setup. I had officially rated lenses and a camera and did the best that I could.

NASA has been preparing for the celestial event, and we wanted to share a few key pieces to help you better enjoy and understand what's about to happen.
