Angels in Ocean County Helping a Beachwood Family .... It is a heartwarming story (recently reported in the Patch) that helps in these days and times, when most of the news is negative ..... this is a good one in Ocean County.

One thing I noticed from social media is that some nice things happened because of the storm. I thought it might be good to write about some of them in today's blog post. You know me...always trying to make lemonade out of life's occasional lemons.

We've been mentioning on-air that the American Red Cross is welcoming monetary donations so this morning I put my money where my mouth is. I know that their volunteers are on the ground, helping people get through this crisis. And if my cash can help a person or a family, then that's good. If you've been thinking "what can I do to help?" then I hope this blog post might inspire you to donate just like I did.

This is what I love about the American spirit, everyone is always willing to help out when needed.  7 months ago we went through the horrible Super Storm Sandy, which left a lot of us New Jersians displaced.  It's time to help out our neighbors in Oklahoma.
