Friday is a big day for our family. My daughter Erin graduates college! Yes, college... where did the time go?

The New Egypt High School student who allegedly threatened to shoot students and staff at their commencement ceremony has another charge added to the offenses he's facing following his arrest.

Every year the Mariners, Indians, and Raiders graduate on the same day, this year is no different! The BIG day is this Friday.

Some random observations from my 2 days attending college graduation ceremonies and receptions over the weekend. Some teachers form a special bond with students as mentor and that's a beautiful thing.   I heard from several students who said something like "if it weren't for (professor's name), I wouldn't be graduating or wouldn't be starting my career in (profession)...

I was really inspired over the weekend, attending ceremonies to mark my nephew's graduation from Villanova University.  Don't laugh but I actually took notes, wanting to remember some of the great soundbites from the different speeches! A theme that ran through many of them was "new beginnings...
