The Beach Haven Farmers Market Returns to LBI .... Something everyone loves is fresh produce during the summer months and no better place to find fresh produce then at area farmers markets. Fresh fruit, vegetables, arts and crafts can all be found at these events and Long Beach Island has a good one returning.

Five Ocean County schools are among 157 across the state who are participating in the New Jersey Department of Agriculture's fresh fruit and vegetable program which will provide fresh produce to students during the school day as well as a nutritional education.

Grocery stores are convenient. Especially these days with state of the art transportation infrastructure, you can pretty much get any produce that you want regardless of the season. But there's still something special about locally grown food that you just don't get from mass market stores.
