This was a huge part of my childhood.  Those cool little listening machines with the cassette tapes that we'd have to put in by hitting the BIG eject button.  It was awesome.  I'd take mine everywhere.

At first glance, that picture just looks like a curb with a little bit of snow, gravel, and some random litter. But I did a double take when I realized what I was actually looking at.

Shawn's post this week about the invention of the phonograph got me thinking about how much times and technology have changed.  Nowadays we're listening to music on our computers, phones, and other portable devices, in addition to the radio and CD players...
