Our dinosaur is gone. No, I'm not talking about the famous Bayville dinosaur, WOBM had a dinosaur to call our own. Then, it went mysteriously extinct.

As we've discussed in these pages before, the historic Bayville dinosaur has gone through some rough times lately. But, I do have to say that I've enjoyed seeing the seasonal decorations that the dino has sported recently.

It's only a week and change away from Christmas, and everyone is getting into the holiday spirit in Ocean County!

Of all of the indignities that the famous Bayville dinosaur has suffered recently, this may be the saddest - the poor thing is now headless.

Where Should The Bayville Dinosaur Go Next?

As efforts continue to save the legendary Bayville Dinosaur on Route 9, it appears the landmark will be repaired and remain at its original location, according to Alfred T. Stokely, former president of the Berkeley Township Historical Society.

A social media campaign is underway to preserve a dinosaur replica in Bayville, which once marked the halfway point between Atlantic City and New York.
