The death of a Long Branch public works employee, his wife and two sons in their burning home last September 1 is deemed a murder-suicide by Monmouth County investigators.
Gunshot wounds on all four family members who died after being discovered in their burning house in Long Branch Tuesday lead to the conclusion that a murder-suicide took place, and that the fire was intentional.
Post-mortem analyses by the Monmouth County Medical Examiner are expected to pinpoint the cause and manner of death of a Long Branch family of four following a fire in their house late Tuesday, while fire investigators trace the cause.
