Sleepy Driver Injures 4 In Toms River Crash
Toms River Police are investigating a head on collision that injures four people.
The crash occurred at New Hampshire Ave and White Oak Bottom Road early Saturday. Police say 17 year old Anthony Wright's northbound car rammed into 43 year old Lauren Coup from Bayville's southbound Honda.
Wright reported that he fell asleep while driving home. He was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for a broken back injury.
Coup and Wright's two passengers suffered minor injuries. Wright is being charged with reckless driving, provisional license violation, and failure to wear a seat belt.
