A string of unsolved thefts at Toms River supermarkets dating back to fall 2013 continues. Police believe that the suspect caught in the act on surveillance video at a Shop-Rite might still be at it.

They've redistributed images of the still-unidentified woman who grabbed a 65-year-old victim's handbag right out of a shopping cart and strode off at the store on Route 37, just off the Garden State Parkway.

She's described as about 5'5", in her 20s, with dark hair. Surveillance images show her in a dark tee shirt bearing the legend "Attitude Served Daily." She apparently took off in a dark red, older model Ford Mustang.

Investigators express concern that elderly women remain targets for the purse snatchers.

Detective Roger Hull is in charge of the ongoing investigation. He can be reached at 732-349-0150, extension 1291
