One of Our Most Active Cities is Eerily Still Today [Photos]

As we all know by now, Boston is in a state of complete lockdown while authorities search for "Suspect #2" in the Marathon attacks.

It's strange to see one of America's most active and vibrant cities as a virtual ghost town today, as citizens have been instructed to stay home. Businesses are closed, schools are closed and universities are deserted.

The photo above is one of the city's busiest bridges, The Longfellow Bridge, completely empty.

And here's the city's Central Square, usually a busy intersection of cars and pedestrians, looking like a scene out of a movie:
