With International Cat Day coming up on August 8, ‘Tabby’ being released is icing on the cake for the holiday. According to People,‘Tabby’ is an app specifically for people with cats to meet other cat lovers.

Sisters Leigh and Casey Issacson say that "Cat-lovers will be able to meet each other, plan cat-friendly dates, get deals from cat companies, and share videos, photos, and stories all while their cats are in their element — at home."

Fun fact, researchers from Colorado State University said that women are less likely to swipe right on a man if they’re holding a cat in any of their pictures. Men who own cats are stereotypical viewed as less masculine and soft. It's actually sad!

"I’ve had women stop talking to me once they find out about my cats," said Sterling "TrapKing" Davis, who leads a nonprofit that helps trap and rehabilitate stray cats.

Cat people have really stuck up for themselves since the announcement of this app. Actor Nathan Kehn said, "Cat is a lifestyle. They’re an important, uncompromising part of our lives. Cat people are just as unique as the cats they love, but we understand each other. Finding someone who loves cats the way that you do is vital."

The Issacson sisters also released an app called ‘Dig’ for dog lovers. They created the app for other people who want to meet someone that also has a dog oriented lifestyle.

What would you rather download? An app where you meet your significant other with dogs or cats?
