Details of the crash near Crestwood Village around 8:30 this morning are still sketchy but the one rock-solid fact is that a utility pole was sheared, according to Manchester police. They indicate that there were no fatalities.

However, JCP&L's outage map indicates outages for as many as 1,500 customers in the immediate area, and possibly up to 1,500 more east of the area in portions of Berkeley and Toms River Townships.

Berkeley Township police say that the traffic signal at Dover Road and Pinewald-Keswick Road went out as a result of the crash. They have posted signs until JCP&L crews can replace the pole and repair the wiring, but they're urging drivers to use caution and common sense at the intersection.
