Luring Incident in Barnegat

Barnegat Police are seeking a man wanted in connection with a luring incident last week, according to the Department's Facebook page.

Authorities said the man was driving a white work van when he allegedly approached an 11-year-old girl walking near Bayshore Drive around 6 p.m. on July 10th. He asked her if she "needed a ride," then drove off when she declined. The girl's mother was nearby, but did not see any markings or lettering on the van, according to police.  The make and model of the vehicle are unknown.

The man is described as being in his early to mid-50's with bushy white hair. He was wearing sunglasses.
