Lakewood BOE Choses Interim Super

Lakewood school board officials select an Interim Superintendent to temporarily succeed Superintendent Lydia Silva, who's retiring.

Township resident Laura Winters was chosen during an emergency meeting Friday morning and is scheduled to start July 1st.

However, the search for a permanent superintendent continues.

Board President Carl Fink told the Asbury Park Press that Winters is among the five candidates have been identified by the New Jersey School Board Association.
